Best Shopify Marketing Apps

Shopify has become the most popular e-commerce platform online. Most of its popularity is due to its integrations also known as apps. Today, I will be tackling 19 of the most popular marketing apps on Shopify. More than showing you the existence of these apps, you’ll also learn how you can use them to get more traffic and sales to your online store.

1. Sales Pop

How can you convince someone to buy from you? That's easy. Just show them another person that have bought from you. Sales Pop operates with that concept in mind. It displays all of your recent transactions as pop-ups. This way, your potential buyer will know that your site is thriving with activity and they may even lose their chance of buying a particular item if they delay their checkout. There are other apps that can do this but all of them are paid. Sales Pop is free.

2. Privy

You'll want to catch your customers right when they are about to leave your website. But instead of the usual pop-up, you can send them a series of messages instead. That's what Privy does. It catches the attention of your prospect that is about to leave and leads them back into the website with a pop-up, a bar or a banner. From here, emails can also be sent. This is where you can convince your prospect to come back and continue their transaction with you. As for me, I like to use Privy to incentivize people who are about to leave. This is a place where you can send discount codes so that you can convince them to come back.

3. Free Shipping Bar

According to statistics, there is one thing that customers hate the most. And that is the shipping fee. They hate the fact that the advertised price is not what they have to pay. In fact, most customers will just leave their carts once they see the shipping fee. So what can you do? Well, you can just make the shipping free. But you should not just include it in the checkout page. You should also have a customizable shipping bar in your website. Free Shipping Bar allows you to do this. The best part is that you can edit how the bar looks like.

4. Countdown Cart

People buy based on two things. If they need the product or if they think that they will miss out if they don't buy the product. The stronger desire is often the latter. For this, you'll want to create a sense of urgency in your offers. You can do this by implementing limited-time discounts with a timer. Countdown Timer is a free Shopify app that you can add to your online store. Unlike paid options, you get to set up a time for your product pages for free. It may be good for stocks too. With it, you can show the number of stocks for a particular product and let your prospects see how it runs out.

5. PushOwl

One of the benefits of having more online mobile users is the chance for push notifications. If you have an app such as PushOwl in your online store, you can allow your prospects to turn their notifs on. This way, they'll receive news whenever you release a new product or limited-time deal. This may also be good if you already have some followers. These people may have bought from you before so they want to be updated with the latest deals and products.

6. Recart

One of the evolving technologies that you can use is the Chatbot. More than automating your messages, it can also help you follow up with the abandoned cart. In fact, that is what Recart can do for you. It follows up with your customers who have abandoned their carts on messenger. Aside from this, you also have the option to follow up through push notifications or email. This is a nice way to remind them about the products that are in their cart as well as provide assistance if they need it.

7. Quick Announcement Bar

How do you do your announcements? Chances are you are still doing it via email. Others may be doing it by integrating a blog into their online store. But there is a more effective way to do announcements, you can just have an announcement bar for that. That is what Quick Announcement Bar can do for you. The best part? It is completely free. With it, you can now easily show your customers the latest deals and news about your brand.

8. Mobile Converter

More than having a website that looks good on mobile, you'll need a website that works well in it. These days, mobile compatibility is no longer an option. It is a necessity. More and more people are surfing the net on their mobile phones. So you need a tool that can help make your shop mobile compatible. Mobile converter goes another mile by not only making your site compatible with mobile devices, it also makes your site compatible with mobile transactions. More than the seamless integration, you'll love its add to cart bar and its mobile galleries. All of these are offered for free. So your online store will now be optimized for more mobile sales.

9. SEO Image Optimizer

Running an online store means that you have to deal with thousands of product images. If you are not optimizing these images for search engines, you're clearly missing out. Not only can these images generate traffic for your site, it can also bring new links to your site. Now, optimizing your images one-by-one can be such a chore if you do it manually. But with SEO Image Optimizer, you don't have to do that. This tool will optimize your images for you.

10. Shogun Drag & Drop Page Builder

Shopify is a great platform. It allows you to have an online store easily with all its available options. However, there is still a problem when it comes to the flexibility of its design. For this, Shogun Drag & Drop Builder can help you. With it, you don't need to worry about knowing coding or CSS. You just need to drag and drop elements based on how you want your site to look like.

11. Printful

One of the problems of dropshipping is the lack of customization options. The products that you are selling might be sold by another seller already thus diluting your competitive advantage. But with printful, you can start selling 100% unique products. Just upload your designs and print it in the items that you choose. There's no need to stock on inventory and equipment. Printful will do all the hard work for you.

12. Product Reviews Addon

What is the first thing that you look for when shopping for a product online? As for me, I like to look at reviews. I want to see the experiences of other people before I buy the product myself. You can also implement reviews in your website. Just install Product Reviews Addon. The great thing about this is that it only crawls reviews. It doesn't include the actual product which includes its original price. The app is also free and is available in the Shopify store.

13. Discounted Upsells

An upsell is a product that you promote right when someone is already ready to buy a product from you. This product may be similar, related or complementary to the other product. The ability to introduce upsells in an e-commerce site is powerful for it can encourage customers to buy more products than what they have initially intended. Discounted Upsells allows you to do this automatically. No coding needed!

14. Happy Email

There's nothing better than going out of your way to thank your customers for their purchase especially if it comes from the founder of your website. However, writing to your customers one-by-one can be tedious. Plus, if you'll do it via autoresponder, it will not feel as authentic. Happy Email allows you to send personalized messages to your buyers. It is free so it is easy to implement in your website.

15. Plug in SEO

Having SEO problems can negatively affect your bottom line. You may not know if your site has an error that you have to fix and this prevents you from being indexed by the search engines. Plug in SEO automatically performs an audit on your website so that you can see the problems right away. The best part is that it even includes some instructions on how you can fix it.

16. Spin-a-Sale

One of the things that I have observed in some of the popular Shopify sites is that it has a wheel before optin. This allows the customers to play for a reward before they optin. Why do popular sites have this? It is because it works. In fact, it is known to boost options and conversion rates. Most popular sites use a paid app for this but Spin-a-Sale made it free for everybody. Now, anyone with a Shopify site can have their own 'lottery' wheel.

17. Happy Customers

More than sales, you should also show off your customers. With this, you'll have user-generated content that will constantly update your site as well as provide social proof of your services. This drastically increases trust and profits. Aside from this, you can also show the number of customers that you have thus far. This establishes you as a trusted online store and your future customers can feel assured that you deliver quality services each and every time.

18. Wishlist Plus

One of the things I have noticed in some popular Shopify sites is that they have a Wishlist option. More than the add-to-cart option, they also have an add-to-wishlist option. This is useful for you are able to gauge the interest in a particular product even if no purchases are made. It may be because they are just saving money for that particular product. Wishlist Plus allows you to have this in your Shopify site. It's free so you can implement it in your site right away.

19. Ads By Varinode
